What makes your silk bed canopy curtains the world's only 100% silk bed canopies?
Every component is pure silk. The drape fabric is 8 momme silk Georgette, the ceiling and hem bands are 16 momme silk satin, the finishing ties are silk. Every other "silk" canopy we've seen on the market uses polyester chiffon or a silk-polyester blend for the drape, or a synthetic satin for the trim — because those are cheaper to source and easier to sew. We build ours the harder way because the whole point of a silk canopy is the feel and the movement of real silk. That's what "100% silk" actually means.

What is mulberry silk, and what's the difference between silk Georgette and silk satin?
Mulberry silk is the finest grade of silk in the world — produced from silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves — and it's the standard for luxury silk goods. On our canopies, we use two different weaves of it. Silk Georgette is a light, sheer, gossamer-thin fabric with a slight crepe texture — that's the drape, and it's what moves in the breeze. Silk satin is smooth, dense, and softly reflective — that's the ceiling panel and the hem band, giving structure and a jewel-box finish to the piece.

What sizes are silk bed canopy curtains available in?
Queen, king, and California king. Silk is a specialist product at the top of our range, so we make it in the sizes most silk customers ask for. The box (four poster) silk canopy is sized for king and California king (91" L × 79" W × 86" H / 230cm × 200cm × 220cm). The round silk canopy fits queen and king. How do you care for a silk bed canopy curtain?
Dry clean only. Silk doesn't machine wash — the fibres are too delicate and cotton-cycle water temperatures will damage the drape and dull the satin finish. Take it to a proper dry cleaner every few years, hang it in shade between cleans, and it will keep its lustre for a very long time. This is the one real care difference between silk and our cotton canopies, which are fully machine washable.

Silk vs cotton — which fabric should I choose?
Choose natural cotton if you want an everyday canopy — machine washable, breathable, built to last a decade or more of daily use. Choose silk if you want a decorative centrepiece — the movement, the sheen, the feel of real silk under a bed. Silk is the luxury choice; cotton is the practical choice. Both are made properly by us; neither is the wrong answer.

What styles of silk bed canopy curtain do you offer?
Two styles. The box silk canopy is a structured four-sided design that hangs from four ceiling points (or attaches to a four poster bed frame), with four openings and a silk satin ceiling — the classic poster-bed silhouette in silk. The round silk canopy hangs from a single ceiling point and drapes outward in a bell shape, held open by a fibreglass hoop. Both are made from the same pure mulberry silk.
