Our cotton bed canopy curtains are made from natural cotton. Cotton has been our lead fabric since 1995 because it does the three things a canopy has to do well: it drapes beautifully, it breathes in warm weather, and it lasts. We don't know of any other maker using natural cotton in a bed canopy — most use polyester or blends because cotton is harder to weave and to hem properly. Ask them.

We start with cotton thread which we weave with a run-proof weave that won't ladder or unravel when snagged, and the netting guarantees maximum airflow. We make the cotton fabric for structure and durability, and finish and hem every canopy properly. The designs are either box shaped bed canopies or round bed canopies (classic and temple). Whichever design you select, you know it's natural cotton, fully hemmed, and built to look good and function well.

Three things. First, the fabric is natural cotton — most bed canopies on the market are polyester, or cotton-polyester blends. Second, the weave is a run-proof weave developed in-house over thirty years — it doesn't ladder or unravel when snagged. Third, every canopy is properly hemmed and finished — no raw edges, no loose netting. It's the difference between a canopy that lasts a decade and one that lasts a season.

What is the run-proof weave and why does it matter?
A run-proof weave is a specific way of interlocking the cotton threads so that if a single thread is snagged — by a cat's claw, a wedding ring, a rough edge — it doesn't run or ladder along its length the way a stocking would. It's the single biggest reason our cotton canopies survive real everyday use in homes, families and luxury resorts around the world. Cheap netting fails the first time it's caught on something.

Can you machine wash cotton canopy bed curtains?
Yes — every cotton canopy we sell is machine washable. Use a cold gentle cycle and dry in shade. The one firm rule: never tumble-dry cotton, as the heat shrinks it permanently. This washability is a real differentiator: silk canopies must be dry-cleaned, and cheap polyester nets often can't survive a wash at all.

Choose cotton for everyday use, a natural look, breathability in warm rooms, and the longest life. Choose sheer polyester for the most affordable price and a lighter, more transparent drape.
