How do you hang four poster bed canopy curtains from the ceiling?

Four poster bed canopy curtains can be hung from the ceiling by fixing four ceiling hooks positioned above the corners of the bed and suspending the canopy from those points using the ceiling ties built into the canopy. This lets you create the four poster canopy effect over an ordinary bed without needing an actual four poster bed frame. A wooden, bamboo or curtain rod frame can also be suspended from the ceiling as an alternative, giving the canopy structure to hang from.
